Senior DevOps Engineer (all genders) - Full-time - 100% remote

CONTENSI Software GmbH supports companies and public institutions in planning, modernising and operating demanding cloud and container platforms. Our clients include Deutsche Bahn, Allianz, Bausparkasse Schwäbisch Hall and ATU, alongside other well-known companies and public authorities.
We focus on Kubernetes, OpenShift, Linux, cloud, automation, open source, security and compliance. We support our clients from architecture and implementation through to the long-term operation of modern IT platforms.
To strengthen our team, we are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer who takes ownership, helps shape complex infrastructure projects and is enthusiastic about modern technologies.
Your responsibilities
- Develop modern infrastructure and platform solutions with our clients, from architecture to stable operations.
- Plan, implement and operate cloud, hybrid and on-premises infrastructure using AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Kubernetes and OpenShift.
- Modernise existing IT landscapes and support migrations from legacy systems to modern platform architectures.
- Automate development and operations with Infrastructure as Code, GitOps and CI/CD workflows (e.g. Terraform, Ansible, Argo CD, GitLab CI or Azure DevOps).
- Build powerful container and cloud platforms with a focus on scalability, high availability and automation.
- Work on networking, storage and security concepts, including Ceph, ODF, IAM, PKI and security standards aligned with BSI and ISO 27001.
- Advise clients on technology decisions and help them develop their infrastructure sustainably.
- Depending on the project, work remotely or occasionally on site with clients within Germany.
Your profile
- At least six years of experience in DevOps, platform engineering, infrastructure or site reliability engineering.
- Experience with at least one public cloud (AWS, Azure or Google Cloud).
- Strong Kubernetes skills and ideally experience with OpenShift.
- Confidence with Infrastructure as Code, such as Terraform or Ansible.
- Experience with GitOps and CI/CD tools such as Argo CD, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Jenkins or Azure DevOps.
- Good Linux skills and experience operating modern container platforms.
- Experience with monitoring and observability solutions such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog or comparable tools.
- Storage and software-defined storage knowledge (e.g. Ceph or MinIO) is an advantage.
- Experience with Proxmox VE or other virtualisation and infrastructure technologies is an advantage.
- Understanding of networks, routing, DNS, firewalls and security concepts.
- Experience with security and compliance requirements (e.g. BSI, ISO 27001, IAM or PKI).
- Ideally programming skills in Python, Go, Java, Node.js or TypeScript.
- Motivation to keep developing your skills and learn new technologies.
- Very good German and English skills.
